Send ski equipment between Switzerland and Austria

    I am planning 2 separate ski vacations in the Alps (with a 3 week gap between them). Is it possible to ship ski equipment from Zermatt to Lech (Austria) using SBB? If my Lech resort is willing to receive luggage early, how would I do this? How much would it cost?

    Hi Luke and welcome to MySwissAlps!

    Best to inquire with Swiss railways directly for Austria shipping. They have details on shipping within Switzerland and to Germany only. But I would think it is possible for Austria as well.

    It won’t be an issue to bring it on the train with you just so you are aware.
