Should I pre-book Mt Titlis and Mt Pilatus tickets

Hey y’all! I’m going to be in Switzerland in mid-August and I’m wondering if it might be worth it to buy those tickets before. I have a Swiss Travel Pass already so I suppose that gets me a discount, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it (in terms of time saved) to get the tickets to the destinations beforehand.

I’ll be going to both places from Lucerne.

    Hi madam,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

You can certainly purchase your tickets to Mt Titlis and Mt Pilatus in advance. You can get the discounted tickets here.

The tickets seldom run out but it’s a good idea to get them ahead of your trip to avoid long queues at the ticket counter. Be sure to check the weather forecast before any mountain excursion.

    Regards,

    Anna

    Hi Anna,

Thank you so much for your response!

My concern is also about the weather. I’m wondering if I want to buy the tickets a few days ahead, can I purchase it at any SBB office or does it have to somewhere specific? I land in Zurich a couple of days before the trips to Mt Titlis and Mt Pilatus, and I’m wondering if I should check the weather forecast then and buy it, rather than doing it two months ahead.

    Hi madam,

You can purchase the tickets online from the link in my previous post.

If you prefer to buy in person, you can do so at the SBB travel bureaus in Zurich or Lucerne train station.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Anna
