Ski lifts Zermatt with Swiss Travel Pass

    Hello, We just arrived in Zermatt and have three days of hikes planned. Each day we will use one of the three main mountain lifts here. We have a Swiss Travel Pass. Is it better to buy individual tickets each day or buy a Peak Pass or other option. Thank you.

    Hi Gobi,

    with your Swiss Travel Pass you get the following discounts in Zermatt:

    • Train from Zermatt to Gornergrat: 50% off (return costs around 60 CHF)
    • Cable car from Zermatt to Klein Matterhorn: 50% off (return costs around 60 CHF)
    • Funicular and cable cars from Zermatt via Sunnegga and Blauherd to the Rothorn: 50% off (return costs to Rothorn around 33 CHF)
    • Randa–Täsch–Zermatt by train: free

    The Peak Pass includes these for free:

    • Zermatt–Matterhorn glacier paradise (Klein Matterhorn)
    • Zermatt–Gornergrat
    • Zermatt–Sunnegga–Blauherd-Rothorn

    • Randa–Täsch–Zermatt
    • You’ll get 25% discount on the pass price, as you have a valid Swiss Travel Pass (costs around 205 CHF)
