Hi everyone! Have a question about the Swiss Travel Pass needing advice. I saw a promotion for the Passes at this website: http://www.raileurope.com.sg/ pass/swiss-travel-pass-82

I wonder is there any problem if I split up the purchase to maxmise the discounts– ? We need to buy 3 Adults and 2 Youth 2nd class passes. But since we will be travelling together, I wonder if there are any inconveniences with 2 different orders. We’ll be only using the passes in February.

Thank you for all the help 🙂

    Hi Uallin,

I don’t know why there would be any issue ordering the passes separately. It wouldn’t matter to Swiss rail workers when they check your passes in any case. 🙂

Thanks, Lucas. I also think not a problem but just want to be sure. It’s a huge amount to spend after all 🙂

Are you sure splitting it up is the best price? The more you spend on one order the more they discount you as well.

The above PROMO in SGD is:

Get $130 (CHF94) off with code 27FALL17 – minimum purchase of S$1,300. Conditions apply.
Get $80 (CHF58) off with code 26FALL17 – minimum purchase of S$970. Conditions apply.
Get $50 (CHF37) off with code 25FALL17 – minimum purchase of S$650. Conditions apply.

Planning to buy 2 adult tickets get the CHF58 off & another order 1 adult 2 youth to get CHF94 off. This comes up to about 8% discount but I’m not sure what the “shipping fees, handling fees, and the Rail Protection Plan” would come out to be. Guess I’ll have to try to purchase to find out.

I had checked a couple STP resellers and it seems the 2018 price has kicked in after I input the validation date. I was quoted CHF398 for the 8 day pass instead of CHF376.

Also, if you haven’t yet, there are some changes to the coverage areas of the Swiss Travel Pass for 2018 noted here.
