Does the family card cover two travelling adults ? or do I have to purchase two individual half fare cards ?

Hello pettst2! There’s a difference between the STS Family Card and the Swiss Half Fare Card. You would have to purchase two Swiss Half Fare Cards for two travelling adults. The costs are CHF 99.00 per person, so you’d pay CHF 198.00 in total.

If you order one of the Swiss rail passes, you can opt for a free STS Family Card. This allows children up to and including 15 years old to travel along with their parents for free. If you travel without children, you don’t have to ask for the free STS Family Card when ordering your Swiss Half Fare Cards. Please review the Swiss Half Fare Card page for further explanation and order options.
