Swiss Pass and Trams

Hello,

I am getting an 8 day Swiss Pass but I want to make sure I'm covered. I will spend most of my time in Basel. I know that I can use the Swiss Pass on the buses but can I also use it on the trams there or will I need another pass to ride those?
