I would like to know that if we buy a Swiss travel pass online from India , do we have to carry the original passport everywhere we travel along with the printout of the Swiss travel pass or a copy of the first page of the pass port is ok with the printout of the Swiss travel pass.

if we buy the Swiss travel pass in Switzerland do we still have to carry our passport along with the pass or a copy is sufficient.

Hello Varmahk and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

It won’t matter where you get your pass (although it is much more convenient to order on-line and print at home) you still need your actual passport with you in the event that the train inspector asks to see it. Copies of passport are not acceptable for proving you are you.
