Hi, my family and I (5 altogether) have already purchased the Swiss Travel Pass for travel in May this year. If I’m not wrong, the pass does cover the cable car up to Mt Titlis and Mt Rigi and cogwheels at a discount is it? Meaning that I need to purchase for the difference only. Can I purchase in advance or only on the day itself? I’m just afraid that on the day itself, there may be a big crowd. By the way, what is the frequency the cable cars and Rigi cogwheels leave from the station? Do they run continuously or is there a timetable?

Mount Rigi is free and Mount Titlis is indeed 50% discounted. Swiss Travel Pass coverage details can be found here: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/validity.

You can buy tickets on the day or in advance, whichever you prefer: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti tlis/tickets. If there’s a crowd you’ll have to wait in line either way. May isn’t high season so it should not be too bad. The second half of the morning is often a busy time.
