We will be traveling from Montreux to Interlaken, as we travel together with 2 kids and luggages, would like to know if we can take the Golden Pass Express with our 15 Days Swiss Travel Pass for free? I read through the website http://www.gpx.swiss/en/pages/gpx-fares, they only stated the fare but did not mention about the Swiss Travel Pass.

Yes, with the Swiss Travel Pass you can travel freely on the Golden Pass train from Montreux to Interlaken. You can request for a complimentary Swiss Family Card when your purchase the Swiss Travel Pass. This allows your children (6-15 years old) to travel along for free. The new GoldenPassExpress train is no different to any other train service on the MOB railway – the whole route remains free on Swiss Travel Pass as it is part of the national core transport network

Hello Kyle Caryl T,

The only in case in which you’d need additional reservations on top of the Swiss Travel Pass would be if you’d want to travel in the GoldenPass Express Prestige class. For 1st or 2nd class you don’t need anything else. See http://www.myswissalps.com/goldenpass/tickets for details.
