Swiss Travel Pass vs Swiss Travel Pass Flex

Hi,

We are planning our trip to be 3days in switzerland then take a tour of italy and then back in switzerland for 3 more days.Initially we were thinking of taking Swiss Travel Pass for 1st 3 days and another one for the next 3 days. After looking at Swiss Travel Pass Flex taking 8 day Swiss Travel Pass Flex might be cheaper option even tough we might not use all 8 days. Swiss Travel Pass Flex has same benefits as Swiss Travel Pass right?
