    Hello

Planning a first visit to Switzerland for an alpine ski vacation in Feb 2018. Arriving Zurich airport on a Sunday evening (Feb 18). Planning travel from Zurich to Interlaken for four nights, Interlaken to Engelberg for three nights with a final night in Zurich before departure. Can you advise best choices for rail passes? We will rely on train and bus transports as I don’t want to rent a car.

    Thank you

    PKC

Hi PKC and welcome to MySwissAlps!

It is a harder choice on rail passes when one is primarily skiing here.

If you are staying in ski resorts and just transferring from one to another the Swiss Transfer Ticket is often a good option (to get to and from Zurich airport essentially).

However if you are planning on using trains/bus to get to the ski resorts every day a pass like the Swiss Travel Pass or Swiss Half Fare Card makes more sense.
