After much planning we are finally heading on our Europe trip on the 5th of August. We will be in Switzerland from 9th – 12th August.

After much research and calculations I found that the 2day or 3 day tell pass would be the most cost effective option.

    Itinerary :

Day 1- arrive from Paris. Spend the evening exploring Lucerne. (Buy point to point tickets)

Day 2 – Mt. Titlis ( Tell Pass)

Day 3 – Mt. Pilatus morning.

Interlaaken – evening (Covered by Tell Pass)

Day 4 – Head to Bern in the morning, spend the day there and head to Basel to take our flight out to Amsterdam. (Point to point tickets )

Question – Can we do Mt. Pilatus and Interlaaken in one day? We want to do paragliding as well.

Is any part of our travel from Lucerne to Bern covered by the tell pass which might be worth it to upgrade to a 3 day tell pass?

Any advice will will be appreciated!

    Hi Rukshi,

Pilatus is about a 1/2 day trip so you could go to Interlaken after. Find travel times here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/timetable

But perhaps not enough time for paragliding…it will depend on the time of the paragliding appointment and when is good for them to go out (sometimes in the morning only).

You can see the routes covered by the Tell Pass here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/tellpass/validit y
Only a section of the route is covered and only going via Langnau i.E as per the map.

    Thanks for your response.

Is the Golden route to Mt Titlis also fully covered by the Tell pass?

Also should we buy the intercity train tickets (Basel to Lucerne, Lucerne to Bern) also in advance?

I checked some of the websites and they do have paragliding slots for 2.15 PM afternoon, which should be possible. If not we have the option of paragliding in the Lucerne region before heading to Titlis.

My link above will show you what routes and mountains are covered by the Tell Pass.

The tickets can be bought in advance here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/traintickets – they are valid for any trip on the date you buy it for.
