Hi

Which is the best way to travel from Paris to Interlaken. I was told that it would be better to change trains at BASEL SBB, can i use the swiss rail pass from Basel SBB to Interlaken.

Can i purchase the Swiss Travel pass at Basel SBB station.

Hi Manishankar,

Indeed you'd usually take a train to Basel SBB and change for Interlaken there. So you need a ticket from Paris to Basel, plus a Swiss Travel Pass. You can find details of any of your trips in the timetable.

All Swiss Travel Pass points of sale are listed on myswissalps.com/ swisstravelpass/price. As you can see there you can buy it online or in Switzerland, but online is cheaper. It's also more convenient to buy online as you can change to your next train right away and prevent ticket office queues. In your case you can buy the pass through www.raileurope-gcc.com/pass/swiss-pass, and the ticket to Basel from the same site at www.raileurope-gcc.com/train/tgv-lyria. For an additional discount, please see here.
