There appear to have been some threads on this topic before but are now closed, and besides the questions pertained more to using the pass entering Switzerland.

I am looking at Chur to Bolzano / Bozen via Innsbruck and at this stage it looks like utilising Swiss Railways from Chur to Innsbruck (with a change at Sargens), and then Austrian Railways to Bolzano.

Would I be correct to assume that a Swiss rail pass would cover the journey from Chur right through to Innsbruck, from which point I’d need a separate Austrian Railways? Or would the pass only cover the sector to Sargens?
