In the section on, Area of validity of the Swiss Travel Pass, it states that “A few rail and bus routes crossing the border allow free traveling too.” One of the examples given was the Martigny to Chamonix- Mount Blanc (France). After our short visit in Chamonix we plan to continue our trip back into Switzerland. Could you please clarify if the return train fare is also covered by the Swiss Travel Pass. Thank you.

“It was amazing, Switzerland is small but so much to see and it can be overwhelming to try to plan a weeks holiday and feel able to get the balance right. Our itinerary met all our requests. Annika’s personal approach is a breath of fresh air.”

    Hi Thomas, welcome to MySwissAlps,

Sure, that’s included as well. A route is either included or not included; the direction of traveling is not relevant. You can download the map for further details.
