Weather in Interlaken, Zermatt, Lucerne July/Aug

Hi,

We are family of 2 adults, 1 senior and 1 infant of 2 years. We will be in Switzerland between July 22-Aug-1 (Interlaken, Zermatt, Lucerne for 3 nights each and 1 night in Zurich).

Will you please advise what weather we should expect. Should we put winter cloths in our luggage?specially for baby...

Hi Numanabid-

Weather and temperature depend on altitude as well as the time of year.

It will be colder in Zermatt than at the lower altitudes of Zürich and Luzern. From my northeastern USA perspective, I do not think that winter clothes will be needed. However, in some parts of the world, winter temperatures never descend below 20 degrees Celsius, so your question is difficult to answer until we understand what temperatures go along with winter in your mind.
