I am a little confused and would appreciate some advice. If I buy a 3 day Swiss Travel, what modes of travel can I use it for. My aim is to not be out of compliance.

  • Zurich airport to Zurich HB train
  • Local Zurich trams
  • Zurich HB to Wengen (by way of Lucern, Interlaken) ... (GoldenPass)
  • Local train around the Lauterbrunnen valley (e.g. Wengen to Lauterbrunnen, Murren, etc.)
  • Cable cars around Lauterbrunnen valley

Thank you!

P.S. Can I purchase the 3 day pass at Zurich airport?

Hi Sia Sia,

You'll find all details, including a downloadable map, here: www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpass/validity. The first 4 points on your list are fully covered. Cable cars to the peaks are mostly discounted by 50%.

Yes, you can buy the pass at Zurich Airport during the service desk opening hours. It's better to buy online though: no queuing, and you'll get an electronic pass which means as many backups as you like and no way to ever lose it. The options are listed here: www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpass/price. You may want to read this too: www.myswissalps.com/train/ticketspasses/practical/wheretobuy.
