Hi..

My husband and I will be travelling to Switzerland for our honeymoon from 6 Nov - 10 Nov and would appreciate if we can have some suggestions to our itinerary.

This is what we have planned so far:

06 Nov: Arrive at Zurich Station, then head to Stafa. We stay at Stafa until Nov 10.

07 Nov: Stafa - Lucern and Mount Pilatus then back to Stafa

08 Nov: Stafa - Zurich (explore Zurich) - Stafa

09 Nov: We would like to visit Zermatt (please let us know how to get there from Stafa)

10 Nov: Stafa - Zurich Airports

Thank you :)

Hi DianaChai,

Welcome to MySwissAlps and congratulations on your marriage! A 3-day Swiss Travel Pass (November 7 to 10) would work well for you if you are sure about the trip to Zermatt (which would normally cost CHF 260 p.p. but is free with the pass). You would buy normal tickets on November 6 and 10. A Swiss Half Fare Card is another option (it gets you 50% off all tickets). You can print the pass or the card at home through www.swissrailways.com/ en. After filling out your address, they will show the delivery options. Pick "Online Ticket" from the bottom of the list. They will e-mail the pass within 1-3 business days (so you'd best order soon).

Note that the Stäfa to Zermatt trip takes nearly 4 hours one way, so you'd better start very early in order to have enough time in Zermatt. You need to change trains in Zürich HB and Visp. Details are in the timetable.
