When to buy Swiss Travel Pass?

Going to Switzerland for 2 weeks this summer and have determined a 15 day Swiss travel pass is the best option. Is there any advantage to buying the pass now? Or should I wait until shortly before I go?

I would get it now, but I can’t figure out from the S b b website if it’s refundable in case something comes up and I can’t travel.

    Thanks for your advice.

    Hi Ssboomer,

You’ll find a list of retailers here: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/price. Even though delivery is mostly in hours (via e-mail), buying a few working days before departure is perfect to give you some slack, and time to print it.

As far as I know all retailers refund 85% if you cancel. The rest might be refunded by your travel insurance.

Thanks, Arno. Just what I needed to know.
