    Can we do the breinz rotthorn trip with our luggage bags?

    Approx weight of luggages 50 kg

    Leave your luggage at Brienz station. There is a left luggage office open Mon–Fri 08:20 – 11:40 13:20 – 17:45.

    When are you travelling? This brienz-rothorn-bahn.ch/timetable-prices/?lang=en suggests BR only runs from 2 June.

    Yes, that’s a good option. Alternatively, you can send your luggage to where you are going to that day: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/practical/luggage.

    I would not take it in the cogwheel train up the mountain. That’s a hassle; you won’t be able to fully enjoy the trip and move around a bit at the top.

    I agree with rockoyster and Arno that your luggage is best left behind.

    The trains are are quite small, and there is an uphill slope to walk up at the top. I have attached some pictures showing the carriages and the path from the station at the top to the restaurant and viewing points.
