We fight spam

We do not send unsolicited e-mails. If you have an account with us, you can select whether you want to receive messages such as our newsletter or forum digest messages. If you wish to receive fewer or more messages, just go to your account page and edit your settings. You can also delete your account. Occasionally we may have to send messages regarding system maintenance to all users, regardless of their settings. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions about our messages.

Please do not mark our e-mails as spam. Marking legitimate e-mails as spam can be harmful to successful e-mail delivery to yourself and other users. We may delete your account if you do so.

As explained in the forum rules, spam messages posted to the forum will be removed quickly. We monitor all accounts and posts.

What if you want to receive our messages but don’t get them?

Not receiving a sent e-mail message is rare, but it does occur. It may happen to e-mails sent to us, as well as to e-mails sent by us.

Please be assured that we answer all received e-mails (as long as they’re not spam). If you don’t receive an answer, the problem is usually caused by spam filters that are configured so strictly that they catch legitimate messages too. As a result, the message may never reach the recipient, or it may be moved to a junk mail folder. Your e-mail program may have spam filters, as well as your e-mail provider.

This is what you can do if you expect a message from us but can’t find it:

  • Add our domain “myswissalps.com” to the list of safe senders (the “white list”) which is available in most spam filters. This may prevent similar problems in the future.
  • Check the junk mail folder of your e-mail program and your online inbox.
  • Ask your e-mail provider for help.
  • Contact us through another method.

Page author: ArnoI have visited Switzerland countless times since 1997. I've explored most of the country, but find myself staying in the Bernese Oberland and Graubünden most frequently. The alps and the rail network remain very impressive, even after all these years.
