Hello! I’m going to be in Switzerland for three months and I was wondering if the Eurail Global Pass would be the best option for me to move around through all of Switzerland as well as visit other countries in Europe?

Hi Ana, and welcome to MySwissAlps!

A Eurail Pass is usually not a very good option for Switzerland compared with a Swiss Travel Pass. However, it will depend on your itinerary as a whole, in Switzerland and elsewhere.

The following page can help you choose a pass:

    Hi Ana,

Yes, it will depend on how much travel will be in Switzerland and how much will be in Europe.

A Swiss Half Fare Card or Swiss Travel Pass would be best for Switzerland (especially if you want to go into the mountains, the Swiss rail passes offer much better coverage/discounts).

The Eurail Global or Eurail Select passes may be good to get as well for your trips in Europe (if you are going into one or more European countries per trip you make).

Have a read through the links above as well as Alpenrose’s link and let us know if you have more questions!

    Lucas
