With your help, I’ve decided to stay in Lauterbrunnen and go to Jungfraujoch. I will travel by train from Zurich to Lauterbrunnen to Jungfraujoch the same day. I’ll stay at Lauterbrunnen that night, and the next day I’ll travel again from Lauterbrunnen to Zurich. Still worth buy the half price card?

If you want to know for sure if it works out cheaper, you need to plan out those trips and compare the prices for regular tickets to the half fare price then add on the 120 purchase cost. Do I have to buy all the tickets in advance? Does the price go up if I don’t buy in advance?
You’ll want to buy the rail pass 2-3 days before you travel at least. Though it should be emailed to you within hours.
Tickets do not go up in price (routes within Switzerland) So you can buy in advance (https://www.myswissalp s.com/traintickets/swi tzerlandhalffare) or at the rail station if you prefer for the same price.
