Hi Arun
Maybe our itinerary we did (with older kids ) can be useful . Itinearies are always driven by individuals in tersm of pace , locations to be visited , budget etc . In your case you have young kids ..keeping in mind those sensitivities ..here is my suggestion
Suggest you keep one city as the base ..
Day 1 – Geneva – coming of a long flight you might want to spend the day in Geneva – City Tour – Lake Geneva – Montreax – Geneva (overnite).
Day 2- Head to Interlaken ( can be the base for your trip). – You can try to get the Golden Pass line from MOntreaux to Interlaken
Day 3 – Interlaken – Grindelwald – Jungfraujoch – Grindelwald (dinner) – Interlaken
Day 4 – Interlaken – Broc – Bruille (Choclate/Cheese factory vists) – INterlakenn
Day 5 – Interlaken – Laterbrunnen (Waterfalls) – Schilthorn (mountain) – Murren (mini trek to Gimmelwald)- Interlaken
Day 6 – Interlakken – Luzern (scenic train) .- Mount Titlis – Luzern (overnight)
Day 7 – Luzern – Rhine Falls – Zurich city tour – Luzern
Day 8 – Luzern – Lugano (Gothard Panorama Express) – route partly by boat . Lugano provides the Italian flavour . You can take a cruise on Lake Lugano – Luzern
You might want to take it easy on Day 5 and such do a trip to Latterbrunnen …..depending on how your children keep up to it .
The glacier express/ bernina express have not been included as the journey might be quite strenuous for the children .
You can use a 8 day swiss travel pass that would cover most of the trips except Jungfaruch and Titlis .
Trust this helps.

Hi Arun and welcome to MySwissAlps!
If you’d like some planning help have a read through our link here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/plantrip
Day 2: Perhaps a nice place to rest on the way back to Montreux or Lausanne (I’d stay in Montreux (https://www.myswissalp s.com/montreux) from the Glacier 3000 would be Gstaad. https://www.myswissalp s.com/gstaad
Day 3: If you start early you’ll still have a 1/2 day after visiting Gornergrat. Read about Zermatt and what to do there here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/zermatt
Day 4: No, taking the Golden Pass to Interlaken from Zermatt and then going up Jungfraujoch can’t be done in 1 day. It is too much. https://www.myswissalp s.com/goldenpass & https://www.myswissalp s.com/jungfraujoch
Use the Swiss railways timetable to plan out trips: https://www.myswissalp s.com/timetable
If you take the Swiss Travel Pass for 8 days starting September 8, it will expire at 05:00 September 16. You’ll need to buy tickets on the 16th (or on the 8th if you decide to start it on the 9th). https://www.myswissalp s.com/swisstravelpass
