Hi Experts,
Will be arriving on 12th July and should be able to check in by 3pm at Hotel Alpenhof Zermatt.
Will be staying 2 nights and was thinking what are the must do and must go places?
Matterhorn and Gornergrat and Gorner Gorge are the places that I should go I think?
With my 8 days Swiss Rail, Are the rides up the mountains all covered?
Also wanted to try ParaGliding, which company is better?
Any places I left out and must go? Short stay and going to Wengen after Zermatt. Do advise. Thanks!

I’d say Gornergrat and Klein Matterhorn are the biggest attractions in Zermatt – both offering closer looks at the Matterhorn.

Hi , since I go to Zermatt every year I know for sure there are paraglidings options . I would recommend you to go to tourist Office right near the train station . They will help you .
Also may I suggest not to go to Klein Matterhorn first day. You may get sick because of high altitudes .

The last time I flew in Zermatt I think there were only 2 companies, but now there seems to be 5. We flew with FLYZermatt and had a great time, but I would expect any company operating there to be excellent as the sport is well regulated.
More important would be the weather on the day, as paragliding is a very weather sensitive activity. Good flying days can be limited in zermatt due to the complicated wind systems caused by the intersection of three valleys which can make flying too difficult. The last time my wife and I flew there, the weather for hiking was fantastic, but flying was only possible on one day during our week there, and that was only for a few hours.

Could someone let me know if there are good summer skiing schools in Zermatt,for beginners?
Do they have such schools in Jungrfraujoch as well?
