Hiking from Grindelwald to Murren in early June
-
My husband and I are traveling with our 16 year old daughter on June 4, 2019. We have booked a hostel in Grindelwald and have bought maps for the region. Can anyone with experience tell us if we will be able to hike comfortably from Grindewald to Murren during this time of the season? We are all physically fit, but not experienced hikers. We realize this might be a little early in the season, but it appears there is a National Route that travels from Grindelwald, through Kleine Scheidegg to Murren. Will we have to or will we be able to supplement part of the hike with transportation? We plan on purchasing a RailPass. Our goal is to do this in one day and still have time to enjoy the sites and attractions along the way. We will have our backpacks with us unless someone is able to explain more about sending them ahead of us to our hotel or the rail station in Murren. We can just carry a day pack then if we send our back packs ahead.
