Where to stay in Mürren
At walking distance from the cable car or train station
Mürren is pretty small. Its main street connects the cable cars to Stechelberg and Schilthorn at the southern end with the train station to Grütschalp and Lauterbrunnen at the northern end.
Nearly all hotels are within 10 minutes on foot from either the train station or the cableway station. If your hotel is too far to comfortably reach on foot with luggage, the hotel staff can often pick you up from one of the stations. Contact your hotel directly to check the options.
Hotel rooms with mountain views
Many hotels have rooms with panoramic vistas of the valley and the mountains Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. East-facing rooms with a balcony are best. Check the description of your room to make sure it has mountain views.

Staying in Gimmelwald
Gimmelwald is a tiny hamlet near Mürren, to be reached by the cable car that runs between Stechelberg and Mürren. There are only a few accommodations and no shops. Gimmelwald is a good choice for one or two nights if you’re looking for absolute peace and quiet.
