Schynige Platte circular hike: the facts

About this trail

Hiking at Schynige Platte is a unique experience. The train ride to get there is amazing. The landscape that surrounds Schynige Platte is a strange combination of grit, rock and stones and beautiful green meadows that are known for their many alpine flowers (particularly between June and September).

The suggested panorama trail offers a great view of Lake Brienz and the surrounding mountain chain. A bit further you will pass the Oberberghorn which is a remarkable rock mass. Thanks to a stairway, the Oberberghorn can be climbed in only 20 minutes. The peak is a great viewing point.
