Which Swiss rail pass? Zurich-Wengen-Geneva
-
Hello
My husband and I will be travelling to Switzerland in late September for our Honeymoon. I have spent minimum 10 hours researching and am still at a loss as to how to get the best value for rail pass. Below is our itinerary – any advice/help would be very much appreciated.
I have considered a 3 day flex swiss rail pass and a 3 day consecutive jungfraujoch pass as I think this is better value for the cable cars/fernicualrs. Days 2 – 5 are interchangeable depending on weather, how to use the pass. Days 1 and 6 are fixed as we have connecting flights.
Day 1 – Arrive Zurich airport at 1pm, train to Wengen
Days 2 – Wengen – Jungfraujoch – Wengen
Day 3 – Wengen – Mannlichen – Grindewald – First – (return hike to Bachalspee, lunch and first flyer at First) – Grindewald – Pfinstegg – Wengen
Day 4 – Wengen – Murren – Shilthorn – Allmendhubel – (walk to) Winteregg – Murren – Wengen
Day 5 – Wengen – Spiez – Lake Thun (boat ride) – Wengen
Day 6 – Wengen to Geneva Airport (arrive by 3pm)
