Hello, thank you for a wonderful site. I have learned so much. What do you think of the below itinerary. There are 3 of us in our 50’s and a 76 year old. We are staying in Wengen (traveling from/to Zurich airport) on September 14-18. We like sightseeing, easy hikes, shopping and eating/drinking. We wake up early and are usually out all day when we travel:

Day 1: Zurich to Wengen arriving around 2 pm. Check in Airbnb and relax

Day 2: Wengen train to Lauterbrunnen, cable to car to Grutschalp, hike to Murren with stop in Winteregg for a beverage, cable car to Schilthorn, cable car to Murren, walk to Gimmewald, cable car to Stechelberg, bus to Lauterbrunnen with a stop at Falls, and train back to Wengen

Day 3: Cable car to Mannlichen, hike to Klein Scheidegg…not sure what to do after this..any suggestions appreciated

Day 4: Train to Interlaken and then boat ride on either Lake Thun or Lake Brienz. Lunch and shopping in Interlaken. Should we train to Thun or Brienz first and then take the boat to Interlaken since we will have lunch there. Back to Wengen.

Day 5: To Zurich for day/night

I was all set to buy the half fare pass after doing the excel worksheet you provided, but with the above itinerary do you think the BO regional pass may be best?

    Thanks in advance!
