There is no way of knowing if it will snow. It may or it may not. Check the Zermatt and Jungfrau region websites for updates on weather, snow conditions and availability of sledging runs.

    http://www.zermatt.ch/en

    http://www.jungfrau.ch/en-gb

Wherever there are sledging runs there are places to hire the equipment.

You should wear at minimum stout walking shoes or boots with good tread.

Hi Gieeeee and welcome to MySwissAlps.com!

Probably you’ll see snow over 1800-2000 m, but it is difficult to predict because of global warming (http://www.myswissalps.com/aboutswitzerland/nature/environment/globalwarming).

You have a good chance to see snow in Zermatt (http://www.myswissalps.com/zermatt) and in the Jungfrau region (http://www.myswissalps.com/jungfrauregion).

There is a beautiful and easy toboggan run at Rotenboden (on the way to Gornergrat: http://www.myswissalps.com/gornergrat/gettingthere). The descent is from Rotenboden to Riffelberg and it takes around 10 mins. You can rent the toboggan at the rental from Rotenboden summit station. You’ll also need:

    • Warm winter clothing with gloves and hat (or helmet)
    • Warm, waterproof footwear
    • Helmet

Regarding the appropriate winter clothes, please check this one: http://www.myswissalps.com/plantrip/clothing/winter.
