Hi A_bainbridge,
Yes, the Saver Day Pass covers the whole Bernina route from Tirano, as the railway is owned by Switzerland.
You can find out all about the Saver Day Pass and what it covers here:

Scroll down to the heading Saver Day Pass validity map to download a map.
Hope this clarifies things!

Hi A_bainbridge,
Yes, per Alpenrose, the Saver Day Pass covers your ride on the Bernina Express. Just make sure you purchase your seat reservations as these are separate to the travel ticket. All explained in our Bernina Express guide below:
Enjoy your trip on the Bernina Express!
Kind regards,
Yolanda

Just be sure that buy a Saver Day Pass is actually the best deal.
We have seat reservations on the Bernina from Tirano to St. Moritz, the Glacier Express (https://www.myswissalps.com/activity/glacier-express/ ) from St. Moritz to Zermatt and a week or so later the Golden Pass (https://www.myswissalps.com/activity/goldenpass/) from Interlaken to Montreux.
We have already purchased very reasonable Saver Day Passes for the second two, but for the Bernina Express it is actually much cheaper for us to buy two point to point tickets than a Day Pass.

Thanks DebH,
Yes, point-to-point tickets can be sometimes the better option if you are just running with the one trip and in your case, it’s worked out that way :-).

If the intention was to continue further afar after arriving in Switzerland, the Saver Day Pass could make sense as it allows unlimited travel within Switzerland for the one day.
Kind regards,
Yolanda

Thanks to everyone for the quick responses. We’ve purchased seat reservations and will be traveling beyond the Bernina Express in Switzerland that day. I think the saver day pass will be perfect for our needs. Thanks again!
