Best pass for 5-night Murren stay
Kathy is planning her trip to Murren from June 29th to July 4th and is looking for advice on the best rail pass options. She wants to visit Schilthorn and Jungfraujoch while hiking in the area but is confused about ticket prices and availability. She's seeking suggestions on which rail pass would suit her needs best.
- Consider getting the 6-day Regional Pass - Bernese Oberland for better coverage and discounts in the area.
- The Swiss Half Fare Card combined with a 4-day Bernese Oberland Pass is another option, especially if you're arriving and leaving on different days.
- Keep an eye on point-to-point ticket prices, as they may offer significant savings compared to passes.

Looking for suggestions on best rail pass for 5-night stay in Murren. I arrive in Murren on June 29th (leave Frankfurt on 8:50 am train) and leave Murren on July 4th (train to Lucerne airport to meet my daughter in Slovenia). Weather dependent, I would love to see Schilthorn (heard there is a 100 year special ticket??) and Jungfraujoch and then other hiking in area. Threw in the towel trying to plug in prices on Excel tool)–I thought combo pass seemed best but heard it is no longer available. Any suggestions for best rail pass would be greatly appreciated. I am 61 years old, leaving Seattle on June 27th to Frankfurt. Thanks for any suggestions! Kathy
