That “working out the best pass thing” can really drive you crazy.
I’m no expert but my bet would be a 6-day Regional Pass – Bernese Oberland would do the trick.
That would get you from Bern to Mürren and from Mürren to Luzern. So you would only need one ticket from Frankfurt to Bern. Better discounts than the Swiss Travel Pass on some routes in the area. I’d go for that.

Im no expert either, but I’d say the 1/2 fare card + 4 day Bernese Oberland pass. You can use 1/2 fare card on day coming in and day leaving and BO pass for the 4 full days when you are there – and the 1/2 fare card cuts the BO pass cost by 25% I believe.

The savings if any are so marginal that I think the convenience of the 6-day pass wins hands down.
But in fact with Swiss Half Fare Card:
4-day BO Pass less 25% – CHF187.50.
Point to Point fares Bern – Mürren and Mürren to Luzern cost CHF50 total.
Swiss Half Fare Card costs CHF 120
Total outlay is CHF357.50 versus CHF310 for 6-day BO Pass
Even if you added the fare from Basel to Bern it would still be very line-ball.
Bear in mind that Deutsche Bahn offer some excellent saver fares from Frankfurt Airport to Bern.

In fact having looked at it again the value of the 6-day pass is marginal. The cheapest option is probably a Deutsche Bahn ticket from Frankfurt Airport to Mürren on day 1, a 4-day BO Pass and a full fare Mürren – Luzern on day 6.
