Titlis, Trübsee, Brunni in one day – combo cable car tickets?

Short summary – read this first

A couple is traveling to Switzerland for the first time in June, staying in Engelberg for just one day. They want to visit Titlis, Trübsee, and Brunni, and need advice on ticketing and whether they can fit everything in one day.

Key takeaways:
  • You can get off at Trübsee with your ticket to Titlis and continue your journey without needing an extra ticket.
  • For Brunni, you will need a separate ticket as there is no combined ticket available.
  • With an early start and good weather, it should be possible to visit Titlis, Trübsee, and Brunni in one day, so plan accordingly.

Hello! My husband & I will be travelling to Switzerland for the first time in June, staying in Engelberg. We only have 1 full day in Engelberg, so trying to squeeze as much in as we can.

Ideally, I’d like to be able to do the ascent up Titlis (for the Suspension Bridge & Ice Cave i.e. no skiiing), as well as the walk around Trübsee and trip up Brunni for Summer Toboggan Run.

But I’m hoping this Forum can help with a couple questions I have:

    1. If we buy a Cable Car Ticket from Engelberg > Titlis, on the descent back down, are we able to get off at Trübsee, spend some time there and either walk back down to Engelberg or jump back on the Cable Car? Or do we need a ticket for both Engelberg > Titlis AND Engelberg > Trübsee Cable Car?
    2. Is tackling Titlis, Trübsee and Brunni in one day too ambitious?
    3. If we are able to do Brunni in the same day, is there some sort of pass we can purchase to cover the price of multiple Cable Car Tickets?

Any advice you may have would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance.

    B ✨

    Hi Biancajessica,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

That’s lovely to hear that you will be visiting for the first time.

Engelberg is a great spot.  In answer to your questions:

    1. Yes, with your return ticket to Titlis, you can alight at Trübsee and then continue your travel.  You won’t need a separate ticket to do so.
    2. For a visit to Brunni, you will need to buy two separate tickets.  There is currently no ticket which combines the two destinations.  Perhaps have a look at the packages or tours in the link below, they may have something suitable.

All information for a visit to Mt. Titlis and the additional activities there, can be found in the attached link:

With an early start to the day, favourable weather, I think all three are doable, just plan your time accordingly.  You have the added bonus that you will be at Engelberg so no extra commute time, aside the ride up to Titlis.

    Kind regards,

    Yolanda
