Train ticket from Lucerne to Milan via Lugano, Chiasso
Kaivan Gala is planning a train trip from Luzern to Milan and needs advice about his ticket. Although his ticket lists Luzern to Chiasso, he wonders if he can travel via Lugano instead and is concerned about whether 4 minutes is enough time for his transfer.
- Your ticket is valid for the route through Lugano as long as it's not a Supersaver ticket.
- A 4-minute transfer time is generally sufficient, but you can take the next train if needed.

Hi Experts – I need your help with a train ticket I booked from Luzern to Milan from SBB.ch
The route is IC 21 10663 Direction Lugano ( Luzern to Lugano) and 25515 Direction Milano Centrale ( Lugano to Milano).
However my tickets say Luzern to Chiasso for the first one and Chiasso to Milano for the second one. Chiasso is the station between Lugano and Milano. Can I travel to Lugano in the first train and then take the second train to Milan from Lugano. This was reflected in the itinerary but not on the ticket.
Also is 4 minute transit time sufficient, I have a check in and a carry on.
Thank you,
Kaivan Gala
