Hello- I’ve activated my Flex Pass and selected the dates for its use. I know there’s a way to save the PDF in my Apple Wallet but I can’t figure out how to do that. When I go to Activate My Pass, I get the message that the ticket isn’t found, which is probably because I’ve activated it. But I also can find a way to put it into the SBB app. I’m glad I printed the day tickets when I’m using the pass as I’m no longer able to access it online. I must be missing something super simple. What do I need to do- or where can I read up on this?

    thank you!

    Hi Julie,

Generally, you can download the e-ticket to your Apple Walletby by simply clicking on the ‘add to wallet link on the Activate Your Pass website.

You can find further information on how to use the Swiss Travel Pass Flex here: http://www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpassflex/howtouse

    Hi Julie,

There’s no need to add your Swiss Travel Pass Flex to the SBB app. This doesn’t bring any advantages, and in most cases it’s not even possible either. In addition to the link provided by Anna, you can find further info concerning rail passes and the SBB app here: http://www.myswissalps.com/train/ticketspasses/practical/swisspass.

All you need to show to a ticket inspector is your day ticket. You won’t have to show your pass (which isn’t more than the reference number on your order receipt in case of the Swiss Travel Pass Flex).

    Thank you both!

just in case I somehow low my paper tickets or need to change my dates, is it possible to log in to activate my pass after I’ve done it a first time? When I try to do that I get the message that my reference number is not valid. I think that’s because I’ve already activated and picked my three days. Thank you!

Actually, I have a different follow up question, if you would be so kind as to provide an answer- is it possible to book a seat on a train win advance with the Flex Pass? I will be traveling with my daughter, who doesn’t have a pass, and would like to book seats in advance for both of us on various trains. Thank you!

    Hi Jmikuta,

If you wish to change the date on your Swiss Travel Pass Flex ticket, you can deactivate the ticket up to one day before travel. If you have problems activating and deactivating your Swiss Travel Pass Flex, you should contact your reseller directly.

About seat reservations, it is not necessary to book seats on Swiss trains unless you are travelling on panoramic trains such as the Glacier Express. You can find further details here: http://www.myswissalps.com/train/reservations

I’m wondering if you made the same mistake that I did and forgot to put the periods in between the Day. Month .Year format.

You should be able to go into into ActivateYourPass.com any time you want to, over and over again to modify dates.

My issue is that if I need to change a pass while traveling, with no access to a printer, I’d better be able to just bring up the QR code for that day in ActivateYourPass.com, or I’ll be in trouble.

We plan to buy Swiss SIM cards in a shop at Zurich Airport so there is a salesperson to assure that they are working on our phones before we leave the airport. If I know I can access the internet (whether I have wifi or not), then I should be able to get to ActivateYourPass.com and pull up each day’s QR code. I do plan to bring printouts, but if I need to cancel the next day’s travel, I could be in trouble without a printer.

One more thing . . . when I’m buying the SIM cards at the airport, I will make sure to buy the ones that work with the SBB FreeSurf so I can get Wifi on the trains. Not all of the SIM cards will work with SBB’s wifi.

    Thanks again Moreland01.

    That’s correct.

More information on the compatible SIM cards can be found via “Information on other websites” in the below link:

Here’s our handy link for other prepaid sim cards and wi-fi options whilst in Switzerland.

    Kind regards,
