    Hello

In early June 2024, we are planning to do a day trip from Interlaken to Lucerne with our Swiss Travel Pass. Our plan is to arrive early at Lucerne and do the following:

    1.    Take a cruise on Lake Lucerne. Where can we have access to the time table for the boat leaving from Lucerne boat pier? Any town worth stopping?

    2.    We also plan to take the cog wheel train up to Mt Riga and we understand it is free with the Swiss Travel pass? Where can we get time table for the train to Mt Riga? From Mt Riga, is there an alternative route to return to Lucerne

    3.    Are there any other places of interest we should consider in Lucerne?

Looking forward to your feedback and suggestions. Thanks for your help.

    Hi John,

Thanks for sharing your plans for your coming visit.

Great you have decided to run with the Swiss Travel Pass whilst here.  Super convenient and practical.  In case you need any purchase options, you can find some here:  https://www.myswissalps.com/travel-ticket/swiss-travel-pass/#tickets

    In answer to your questions.

    1. You can research the boat schedules via  the Swiss timetable: https://www.myswissalps.com/travel/public-transport/timetable/ or in this link here, you can find additional operation information: https://www.myswissalps.com/activity/boat-lake-lucerne/#dates
    2. Likewise, you can consult the Swiss timetable.  All details for a visit to Mt. Rigi is summarised here, including the various routes:  https://www.myswissalps.com/activity/rigi/ and yes, it’s included with the Swiss Travel Pass.
    3. Additional activity suggestions in the Lucerne area here: https://www.myswissalps.com/town/lucerne/#activities

I hope the above helps, do reach out if you have any additional questions.

    Kind regards,

    Yolanda
