Difference between interrail pass – swiss pass
VN is planning a four-day trip to Switzerland with his wife and three-year-old daughter. He is deciding between purchasing Interrail passes or the Swiss Travel Pass for better coverage of transportation options while visiting various locations around Interlaken. He needs guidance on which pass to choose based on their travel plans.
- Consider getting the Swiss Travel Pass as it offers more comprehensive coverage, including trains, buses, and discounts on mountain transport, compared to the Interrail pass.
- Your daughter can travel for free with either pass, making it more economical for the family.
- You can purchase the Swiss Travel Pass at Basel Bad BF station upon arrival, but buying it online is recommended to save time.

can someone suggest which pass is better for travelling in swiss. I am travelling with my wife and 3 year old daughter for four days. I have to buy either two interrail pass for one country i.e. SWISS or SWISS pass for both of us (me and my wife). Interrail seems to be cheaper but i am not sure if it covers all transportation of swiss travel network.
what is covered in interrail pass ?
Please guide, thanks
