    Hi Hamham,

Many hotels do provide adaptors for Swiss power points, but the only time I asked the hotel reception for one, they didn’t have any left, so I had to go and buy one.

Many of the larger railway stations (e.g. Zürich and Luzern) have an InterDiscount store within the station, that sells adaptors. There is likely to be an InterDiscount store at the airports too, but it is probably quicker to actually find the store at a railway station.

Adaptors for power plugs might only be available in electrical stores like InterDiscount, but the ones for USB cables are often sold in supermarkets and post shops as well. I bought both types at InterDiscount in Luzern station (lower level) a couple of months ago.  The staff were very helpful, and were happy to take the power-plug adaptor out of its box so I could have a better look at it, and be certain it would meet my needs.

    Hi hamham,

You may find that you can easily purchase the necessary travel adapter in Australia and it could well be cheaper than buying one here.

Personally, I would probably purchase one myself, than rely on a hotel to provide one.

    Kind regards,

    Yolanda

We are also from Australia and just bought off of Amazon before we went.

We had a couple of types, one has a variety of different adaptors for different countries, plus I just bought a Swiss one too.

They weren’t terribly expensive and I have no doubt they would have cost more buying there.
