Do you have to use up one of your travel days to do so. We have a 10 day travel pass or is this free fare an added advantage for having the pass?

Like I said, yes, you have to use one of your travel days.

With a Eurail Global Pass Flex you can travel on discounted routes and not use a travel day. That’s a bonus of the EGP.
