    My Thoughts

Staying in Schwyz (3 days), Thun (4 Days) & Geneva (2 Days)

We are travelling as two and I am wondering if we need Swiss Full travel pass or Half travel card be sufficient? Any help with the Itinerary would be very much appreciated. I spent a lot of time researching locations and making sure I covered my favourite spots by staying near those locations. I watched a lot of videos and one of the locations I excluded was Top of Europe as I thought it would not be worth it!

The reason to stay in Geneva towards the end is to see Mont Blanc, Annecy (explore Italy) and leave for Barcelona as the flight is cheaper.

    Hi shubhams wiz,

    Welcome back to MySwissAlps.

Based on your plans, I would consider getting the 8-day Swiss Travel Pass. Mainly for convenience and practicality. You save time and you won’t have to worry about buying tickets for each trip.  You can find information about the Swiss Travel Pass here: https://www.myswissalps.com/travel-ticket/swiss-travel-pass/. However, do take note that the Swiss Travel Pass is only valid in Switzerland and you would need to get tickets to travel to Chamonix and Annecy if you are taking the train. You can find information about tickets and travel between Switzerland and France here: https://www.myswissalps.com/travel-guide/france-switzerland/

I think your itinerary is quite packed but doable if you plan your connections carefully. I would spend one full day in Klontalersee and visit Appenzell on a different day.

    Best regards,

    Anna
