Geneva to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc : Bus or train ?
A traveler is arriving in Geneva on June 13 and plans to visit Chamonix Mont Blanc the next day, before heading to Lucerne. They need advice on the best scenic route from Geneva to Chamonix, luggage storage options, and whether to return to Geneva before going to Lucerne. This trip is especially special for them as it's their honeymoon.
Chamonix is in France, so the Swiss Travel Pass won't cover direct travel from Geneva; consider a FlixBus or bus tour for transportation instead. If you decide to go to Chamonix, using the route via Martigny is scenic but ensure you have ample time for travel. Look into luggage storage options at Geneva's airport station before heading to Chamonix.

Hi,
We’re reaching Geneva on 13th June 2019 and have planned to visit Chamonix Mont Blanc on 14th June 2019, then head to Lucerne. We are planning to buy the 8 days Swiss Travel Pass, so trains/buses would mostly be free. Given this, what is the best route to visit Chamonix Mont Blanc from Geneva, which is both time saving and scenic at the same time. Also, how long does it take at Chamonix Mont Blanc, and can we store luggage at any rail station, or do we return back to Geneva and then from Geneva head to Lucerne? Which would be the best plan? Remember we are on a honeymoon trip..!!
