    Hi all:
I was trying to do seat reservations only for Golden pass express from Interlaken Ost to Montreux, but, after specifying reservations only, I am encountering this same error message repeatedly. I chose the Stations from the pulldown menu and selected the team which had vacancies. We will have the Swiss tea el passes.

“Connection not found for the given search query: Please change the departure station, the arrival station, the class or the trip type”

    What am I doing wrong?
Can I buy this anywhere else? Can it be bought at the Montreux or Interlaken Ost stations?

    Thank you

    Wig

    Hello Wig

I would hope that any Swiss railway station booking office would be able to help you with this reservation problem.  Certainly Interlaken Ost or Interlaken West or Montreux should be able to help.

    Best wishes
    Roger

    Hi Wig,

When are you travelling? Sometimes if the seats are fully booked, the connection won’t appear. Let me know which day and time you are travelling and I can look it up for you.

You can find useful information regarding seat reservations on the GoldenPass Express here: https://www.myswissalps.com/activity/goldenpass/

    Regards,
    Anna

Thanks Anna. Either June 13 or 14th using the 16.07 return from Interlaken Ost. Of course 2 window seats on RIGHT side facing each other. The Gpx site has these available.

    Thanks

Could I also use the regional train options for the Golden pass express line? It needs a few more switches.

I am booked for Bernina Express but am covering the Glacier with 2 legs of  Regional trains. If I could do likewise with the Golden pass line

    Thanks

    Hi Wig

Yes you can.  As I think you have already realised, you would need to change at Spiez and Zweisimmen.  Leaving Interlaken Ost at 29 minutes past each hour, the journey will take three hours and forty-eight minutes.  Do not be deterred by the (just) three minutes allowed for the connection at Zweisimmen!   You get off the train at Zweisimmen and the train to Montreux will be waiting on the opposite side of the platform.

    Best wishes for your trip.
    Roger

Thanks Roger. Please correct me, anyone,  if I am wrong

    1. Leg 1 Interlaken Ost to Spiez. RE 9 every 0.29 or you could take IC 61 direction Basel too to Spiez?

    2. Leg 2 Spiez to Zweismen. RE 11 PL 3AB, however it looks like I have a longer interchange than the one you mentioned.
Also, RE8 looks to be direct from Interlaken Ost to Zweismen without changeover at Spiez?

    3. Leg 3 Zweismen to Montreux. R30 every 0.02 to Montreux?

    4. Direction of travel. Some say it does not matter. Others say the Golden Pass route from Interlaken Ost to sit on right side.  However, the first  2 legs, Interlaken Ost to Spiez and then Spiez to Zweismen are best seated on right side and perhaps Zweismen to Montreux does not matter?

Thanks again for your wonderful assistance

    I got it Roger
    1. RE 9 Int Ost to Spiez direction Spiez. 24 minute for transfer
    2. R11 direction Zweismen to Zweismen
    3. R30 direction Montreux from Zweismen to Montreux. This is where the 3 minute transfer across Platforms  6 to 5

However, RE 8 goes directly from Interlaken Ost to Zweismen without transfer at Spiez???
Also the sides to sit for these specific segments

    Thanks again

Thanks everyone. Persistence pays. I was able to finally reserve my GPX seats though their website. All is good

I am visiting your most beautiful country. I am totally blessed that I can do it. So what can be wrong? Even if it didn’t work out I had Roger’s back up schedule. I also have several scenic trains that are planned.

    Thank you all

    Wig
