Gondola from Wengen to Grindelwald First in June?
A traveler named NicoB is planning a trip to Switzerland with their sister in late June, staying in Wengen for a few days. They want to know if they can take a gondola from Wengen to Grindelwald First, plan to purchase an Adventure package, and are unsure about the separate ticket for the First Cliff Walk. They seek the most cost-efficient options and whether all activities are doable in one day.
- You can take a train from Wengen to Grindelwald via Kleine Scheidegg or Lauterbrunnen and Zweilütschinen since the gondola will not be operational during your stay.
- The First Cliff Walk requires a separate ticket, which costs 30CHF.
- Using the timetable tool for travel planning within Switzerland will help ensure your day trip runs smoothly.
- Yes, it is possible to fit all the activities into one day.

Hello,
my sister and I are visiting Switzerland in late June. We will stay in Wengen for a couple days and I am trying to figure out if we can take a gondola from Wengen to Grindelwald First? Or do we only get there by train?
Also, we are purchasing the Adventure package (4 experiences), but now we also want to do the First Cliff Walk by Tissot. I see I have to purchase a separate ticket (Firstbahn for 30CHF) to do the first cliff walk. Is there a way to combine all of the above? Or what is the most cost efficient way to do all of this? I appreciate your help! I’ve been going in circles and am now worried that I’m not making smart bookings…
Lastly… is all of this doable in one day? We are super excited to visit Switzerland!!!
