Haut-de-Caux – How does stop on request work?
A traveler is visiting near Haut-de-Caux station next week and wants to know how to request the train stop there, since it’s marked as 'Stop on Request'. They are curious about whether they need to press a button in the train or notify someone on the platform for both arriving and departing trains. They have a Swiss Travel Pass for their journey.
- Look for buttons near the doors on the train and on the platform to request the stop.
- If there are no buttons available, you can ask the train driver directly or wave to them from the platform.
- Enjoy the scenic ride to the top of Rocher de Naye.

Hi
Next week, I’m going to stay near the Haut-de-Caux station, so the only train passing there is the Montreux to/from Rocher de Naye. On the SBB site, the Haut-de-Caux station is marked as ‘Stop on Request’. I understand what that means, but curious how exactly that works.
When going up from Montreux, is there a button on the train that I need to press to request the stop?
Similarly, on the way down to Montreux how do I ensure the train stops at my station? Again, is there a button at the platform or do I need to inform someone at the platform etc?
Note – I have a Swiss Travel Pass, so will not be buying any ticket for this journey.
