Clothes to pack for Glacier Paradise in June

Short summary – read this first

Amy is planning a trip to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise in Zermatt this June and is unsure about what clothes to pack for the cold. She's looking for advice on how to dress appropriately while keeping her luggage light. The weather at the glacier can be quite chilly, so packing layers is essential.

Key takeaways:
  • Pack layers and include a light waterproof or windproof jacket for the cold weather.
  • Expect temperatures around or below 0 degrees at the glacier, but it may be sunnier at lower elevations.
  • Check the weather forecast closer to your trip for accurate temperature updates.

    Hi Amy,

I would pack clothes on the assumption it will be around or below 0 degrees at the top (but it could be sunny and 10. Dressing in layers with a light waterproof /windproof jacket is the best idea I think.

Today, the town of Zermatt is 13 degrees and the Glacier Paradise is -3 (https://www.matterhorn paradise.ch/en/current /weather). Saturday will be 3 degrees in Zermatt and -11 at the top apparently.
