All suggestions welcome and appreciated, can make any changes to length of stay.

We are travelling to Switzerland on 17 September, coming from Como. This is my itinerary.

17/9- Tirano to Zurich- regional train

18 day in Zurich,

19 day  trip to Liechtenstein (organised tour, or train trip?)

20 return  train to Lucerne

21 Zurich to Interlaken

22 day trip Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen / Grinderwald

23 day trip to Jungfrau

24 Interlaken to Zermatt

25 Gornegrat railway.
26  Zermatt to Chur( glacier express or regional)

27 Chur to Milan.
We are two seniors(63,69)

Can you make suggestions on itinerary and also best rail pass. Your help is much appreciated. I’ve calculated train costs about €850 without any pass, but I’m  still confused.  Thanks

Thanks for sharing your itinerary.

Coming from Tirano, if you’re planning to visit Vaduz (Liechtenstein), it might make more sense to spend the night somewhere closer to Vaduz on the first night in Switzerland. Perhaps in Chur? Tirano to Chur is about 4 hours. From Chur, you can reach Vaduz in less than 1 hour by public transport.

Your itinerary is doable but if you are flexible, I would make some changes to minimise switchbacks. From Chur I would take the Glacier Express to Zermatt, then travel from Zermatt to Interlaken, Lucerne then Milan.
