Hi,

This will be my first time in Switzerland and I am just looking for some day hiking trips around the Pennine and Bernese Alps. The distance per day would be around 25km. I will be there at the start of August and hopefully for around 5 days. The main Mounts I would like to go around are mont rosa and Matterhorn.

25 km per day is quite a lot in the Alps. Did you have a look at the below pages? (scroll down for the hiking suggestions) Even though most trails are too short for you, you will get an idea of the options.

Are you expert at hiking above 2000 meters? Do you want to do technical climbing?

What altitude change will be comfortable for you?
