Hi

I have a 15 day Swiss travel Pass. We are on our way from Lugano to Zurich.

1) We have made a reservation on ‘Lugano to Fluelen’ Gottard Express.

2) We are unable to figure out how to make a seat reservation on the boat ride to Luzerne. Can someone please send us a link or an explanation how to do this boat seat reservation? Can we upgrade our 2nd class train pass to 1st class for the boat ride? If yes, then how?

3) From Luzerne Lake side to Zurich -> How do we make this happen?

Hello Khannasusa and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

1. OK.

2. You can’t. Just hop on the boat with your STP. There are no reserved seats. You can buy a route specific class upgrade at any station or you can upgrade on board the boat. It will cost you half the difference between the 1st and 2nd class full fares. You need 1st class to access the upper deck and dining room.

3. The boat stops right outside the main Luzern Station. May a 50 meter walk. The SBB Timetable (http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable) will tell you what time the trains to Zurich depart. They are regular.

The boat trip it THE BEST! 😎
