    Hi Milredroyan,

Yes, true that staying in Zermatt and St. Moritz can be expensive. For Zermatt, Tasch or Randa can be a good alternative. Have a look at these: http://www.myswissalps.com/zermatt/rentals and http://www.myswissalps.com/mattervalley/hotels or http://www.myswissalps.com/mattervalley/rentals.

Regarding St. Moritz, have you tried here: http://www.myswissalps.com/stmoritz/rentals? If you cannot find any, try St. Moritz-Bad. Nearby villages such as Celerina, Samedan, Pontresina and Champfèr are good alternatives: http://www.myswissalps.com/upperengadine/hotels and http://www.myswissalps.com/upperengadine/rentals.

I hope you find suitable accommodation for yourself!

    Hi midlredroyam,

There is no direct train service from Grächen to Zermatt. You would need to take a bus to St Niklaus then train to Zermatt. The journey takes about 1 hour.

    Regards,

    Anna
